🍣 PDRN log · K-beauty's salmon DNA peptide receipts

PDRN is the most under-talked-about peptide in english-speaking peptide-world but it's literally what korean clinics inject before every red carpet. polynucleotide therapy. salmon DNA fragments. it sounds weird but it's the cleanest skin barrier rebuilder i've ever tried 🎀
what PDRN actually is
polydeoxyribonucleotide · a mix of DNA fragments isolated from salmon sperm (yes really). the average chain length is 50-2000 base pairs.
it works by salvaging adenosine A2A receptors on damaged cells · which triggers VEGF release, angiogenesis, and fibroblast proliferation.
it's been an italian-pharma prescription drug since the 90s (placentex). in korea it's used as an injectable cosmetic. in the US it's research-use only.
my dose and schedule
i ran 2mg topical (in HA serum) every other night for 8 weeks.
alternated with GHK-Cu nights · so PDRN-night → GHK-Cu-night → PDRN-night.
didn't run subq because the K-beauty literature is mostly topical/intradermal and i wanted to match that protocol.
results · the K-beauty crossover
skin barrier rebuilt in 3 weeks · the redness pattern on my cheeks that was always there just · went away.
fine lines around my eyes softened week 6.
the 'glass skin' look that's all over korean beauty TikTok · this is part of what does it. PDRN + a clean barrier + good light is 80% of glass skin.
quick answers
isn't salmon DNA weird?
kind of, until u know it's because salmon DNA matches human DNA sequence at the polymer level. that's why it doesn't trigger immune rejection.
can i stack PDRN with GHK-Cu?
yes · they don't overlap mechanistically. GHK-Cu drives transcription, PDRN drives nucleotide salvage. alternate nights so u can isolate which is doing what.
is it actually approved for anything in the US?
no FDA approval for cosmetic injection. research-use only in the US. korea + italy + europe have it as approved clinical/cosmetic.
